Do you love yourself enough to eat with intention, prioritizing your health and general sense of well being?
Throughout my journey, I have often wrestled between the extremes of gorging junk food to cope with the sensations of loneliness, grief, or aimlessness vs enjoying the farm to table, organic and locally sourced dining experience. The question that boomerangs back into my consciousness is: How can I come back to the middle, balanced and equanimous road of eating to mindfully nourish the body?
Well first, to tap into the discipline of eating mindfully, it is essential to live a mindful life and engage in spiritual rhythms that support the life you are creating.
I am learning that my spiritual rhythm of self love takes on many different forms, such as: drinking a cup of hot lavender tea in an eclectic cafe with an indoor vertical garden; or deepening my awareness through a 10 day Vipassana silent meditation retreat; or living an expatriate life, attenuated to the frequency of abundant love and inexhaustible provision ... Whatever form my spiritual rhythm takes, I am co-creating a life of uninterrupted peace, joy and presence.
Now, how can you eat from a place of uninterrupted peace, joy and presence? This is not a theoretical pondering, but a real question with a practical answer.
Ill tell you how - You can if you are living life slowly enough to choose. If life is lived at such a fast pace, all of the decisions that we think are being made autonomously, could actually be made under the influence of expert marketing, programming, indoctrinations, and automations. But, what if you were living life at such an easeful pace, that you were able to think and make decisions in clarity and alignment?
You get to choose, to create, and to be. #JourneyWell
